Route 36 Guide
Route 36 is the blocked crossroads route, famous for Sudowoodo and for tying the park, Ruins of Alph, and Ecruteak side together.
Travel the route
Treat Route 36 as a checkpoint route rather than filler. It links Violet City, National Park, Ruins Of Alph Outside, and the western Johto road while also stopping you with one memorable obstacle.
What matters here
Sudowoodo is the headline, but the route also matters because it opens whole sections of Johto once the bottle problem is solved. It is one of the clearest examples of a route acting like a story gate.
Come back later
Return after clearing the tree, when you want cleaner park access, or when you are looping between Violet, Ecruteak, and the ruins.
