Route 32
16 wild Pokémon across 4 encounter methods. 16 trainer battles.
Route 32 Guide
Route 32 is the long southbound road from Violet, mixing trainers, shoreline grass, the Pokecenter stop, and the approach to Union Cave.
Travel the route
Use Route 32 when the first badge is done and Johto finally starts stretching out. The path runs south from Violet City toward Union Cave 1F with enough battles and grass to feel like a real route milestone.
What matters here
The Pokecenter stop, the cave entrance, and the Ruins gate turn this road into more than a straight line. It is also the easiest place to judge whether your team is ready for the cave-and-Azalea sequence.
Come back later
Return when you want the southern Violet exit, Union Cave access, or a dependable training line that still offers a rest stop in the middle.
