Blackthorn is all about endgame gates. The city connects Ice Path 1F, the Gym, Dragons Den 1F, and the cliff routes behind it, so almost every stop here points at a major requirement.

The main jobs are clearing Clair's Gym, passing the Dragon's Den test, and deciding whether to branch out to the Move Deleter or the mountain routes before heading for Victory Road. It is also your cleanest rest stop before the last Johto badge push ends.
