Route 34
14 wild Pokémon across 4 encounter methods. 13 trainer battles.
Route 34 Guide
Route 34 is the busy northbound road between Ilex Forest and Goldenrod, with the Day Care and a steady trainer stream built right into the trip.
Travel the route
This road links Ilex Forest and Goldenrod City. It is the place where breeding and city progression finally sit on the same line.
What matters here
The key stop is Day Care if you want eggs or passive levels later on. Even when you ignore that service, the route still matters because it is the cleanest approach into Goldenrod after Azalea and the forest.
Come back later
Return when you want the Day Care, a direct Goldenrod line, or one of Johto's better trainer-heavy stretches for leveling.
