Burned Tower 1F
4 wild Pokémon across 1 encounter method. 3 trainer battles.
Burned Tower 1F Guide
Burned Tower is the old ruin that turns Ecruteak's legends into active story, complete with a rival fight and the beast awakening.
Getting in
Enter from Ecruteak City once the city story pushes you there. The building is not huge, but it changes the whole mood of Johto the moment you step inside.
Main reason to visit
The important beats are the rival battle, the fall to the basement path, and the legendary-beast scene. This is one of the places where Johto's story stops hinting and starts moving.
Why return
Return if the roaming-beast side of the game matters to you or when you want to revisit one of Johto's most important legend locations.

Bring Rock Smash if you want to clear every cracked rock.
Floor holes can drop you somewhere
Some holes are part of a path or puzzle, not just scenery.
Use them when the route below matters, especially in cave puzzles.
