Route 19 Guide

Route 19 is the first southern sea route out of Fuchsia, pushing you into the long surf chain toward Cinnabar.

Travel the route

This road leaves Fuchsia City and starts the water run that eventually reaches Cinnabar Island. It is the moment southern Kanto stops being land travel and turns into a coastal crossing.

What matters here

What matters here is commitment. Once you choose the surf route, you are really choosing the southern sea lane instead of the inland city web.

Come back later

Come back when you want the sea path to Cinnabar, more water-route cleanup, or another southern Kanto loop that avoids Cycling Road.

Map Movement Tips

These clues come from the map tiles, so they are handy when you are planning which moves or paths matter here.

Surf opens water paths here

Water tiles can become paths once you can Surf.

Bring a Surf user after earning Fog Badge if you want every shoreline path.

One-way ledges shape the route

These ledges let you jump down but not climb back up from the same spot.

Look before you hop if you are collecting items or avoiding trainers.

Repel Planning

If your lead Pokémon is above a wild level, Repel skips it. These checkpoints show what disappears completely.
