Route 28 Guide
Route 28 is the final western postgame road, carrying you from the Kanto side into Silver Cave country.
Travel the route
Route 28 is quiet because it knows where it leads. The road sits between the last Kanto gate and Silver Cave Outside, with tall grass, water, a hidden house, and the feeling that the map is almost done speaking.
What to find
Search for the hidden Rare Candy and visit the Steel Wing house before you head into Silver Cave country. Wild Pokémon here are much stronger than the early Kanto routes: Tangela, Ponyta, Rapidash, Doduo, Dodrio, Sneasel, and version-specific heavy hitters like Ursaring can appear around the grass and water.
Return with a reason
Return when you are ready for Silver Cave, want the Steel Wing reward, or need one last outdoor stretch before the strongest optional battle waits inside the mountain.
