Whirl Island NW Guide
The Whirl Islands are the sea maze that turns Johto's western water routes into a legendary side destination.
Getting in
Use the northwest entrance as the first step into the island network from Route 41. It is the easiest way to frame the whole area as a destination instead of a loose cluster of caves.
Main reason to visit
The real draw is the chain that eventually reaches the deeper island floors and the legendary chamber. Even before that, the maze itself makes the west-sea routes feel much more deliberate.
Why return
Return when you are ready to push for Lugia or want to clean up one of Johto's most distinct water-side dungeons.
