Saffron City is central Kanto's crossroads, with Sabrina, the Fighting Dojo, the Magnet Train station, and routes branching in every direction.

Get your bearings

Saffron matters because everything meets here. The city is not the biggest on the map, but it is the easiest place to pivot from one side of Kanto to another once the postgame opens.

Main jobs here

Clear Sabrina, visit the Fighting Dojo, and use the city as the springboard to Cerulean City, Vermilion City, Lavender Town, and Celadon City. The train station also turns it into the Kanto side of rapid travel.

Good revisits

Return when you need the train, the central routes, or the cleanest one-stop base for the middle of Kanto.
