Route 10 South is the Lavender-side exit for Rock Tunnel, giving eastern Kanto a rough back road instead of a simple flat connector.

This route links Lavender Town and Rock Tunnel 1F from the southern side. It is compact, but it makes the whole tunnel corridor easier to read.

The route matters because it turns Rock Tunnel into a true two-sided travel line rather than a dead-end cave. That makes eastern Kanto loops much smoother once you are cleaning up routes and cities.
