Route 24
9 wild Pokémon across 2 encounter methods.
Route 24 Guide
Route 24 is Cerulean's northern bridge route, turning the city into a launch point for the cape and Bill's side of the map.
Travel the route
This road leaves Cerulean City and points you straight toward Route 25. It feels like a simple bridge at first, but it is really the prelude to Cerulean's longest side branch.
What matters here
What matters here is flow. Route 24 gets you out of the city cleanly and signals that the cape run is a different kind of Kanto side path than the flatter city connectors.
Come back later
Return when you want the bridge-to-cape line, Bill-side cleanup, or another neat northeast Kanto detour from Cerulean.

Map Movement Tips
These clues come from the map tiles, so they are handy when you are planning which moves or paths matter here.
Surf opens water paths here
Water tiles can become paths once you can Surf.
Bring a Surf user after earning Fog Badge if you want every shoreline path.
One-way ledges shape the route
These ledges let you jump down but not climb back up from the same spot.
Look before you hop if you are collecting items or avoiding trainers.
Repel Planning
If your lead Pokémon is above a wild level, Repel skips it. These checkpoints show what disappears completely.
