Mahogany is small, but it changes role fast. At first it looks like a quiet mountain town; once the lake story breaks open, it turns into the doorway to the Rocket hideout and the back half of Johto.

Use town mostly as a staging ground for Lake Of Rage, the hidden stairs in Mahogany Mart 1F, and the long push east through Route 44 into Ice Path 1F.
