Ice Path 1F Guide
Ice Path is the late-game cave puzzle between Mahogany and Blackthorn, remembered for slippery floors and the Waterfall-side reward deeper in.
Getting in
Enter from Route 44 when you are making the final push to Blackthorn City. The cave immediately shifts from straight road pacing into puzzle-room pacing.
Main reason to visit
The point of the visit is simple: solve the ice rooms, keep the Blackthorn approach moving, and pick up one of Johto's last important travel tools. It is a classic late badge gate in cave form.
Why return
Return when you want deeper-floor cleanup, Waterfall progress, or another pass at one of Johto's best movement puzzles.
