Goldenrod Department Store is Johto's biggest shopping stack, making one building do the work of a whole cluster of smaller stores.
What this place does
Use the first floor as the doorway to the whole store whenever Goldenrod shopping matters. The point is not one clerk on 1F, but the fact that this is where the city turns into a real gear-up hub.
Best time to visit
The store matters most in the midgame, when you can combine badges, route progress, rooftop events, and bulk shopping in one trip without wasting steps.
Why it stays useful
It stays useful because Goldenrod remains the cleanest all-purpose shopping stop in Johto from midgame through postgame.
