Route 3 Guide
Route 3 is the first mountain run east of Pewter, pushing you toward Mount Moon with a long trainer line.
Travel the route
Route 3 is the rocky east road out of Pewter City, and it still feels like the walk that turns a town visit into a mountain trip. Mount Moon waits at the far end, so the whole route leans toward the cave.
What to find
Battle Youngsters Warren and Jimmy plus Firebreathers Otis and Burt. The grass is simple but nostalgic, with Spearow, Rattata, Jigglypuff, and Zubat. The value here is the trainer line and the mood shift from Brock's city to the mountain corridor.
Return with a reason
Return when you want the Pewter-to-Mount Moon run, a compact Kanto training stretch, or the old feeling of leaving the first Gym zone behind.
