Route 22 Guide

Route 22 is the western Viridian road, remembered for rival pressure and for feeding the Indigo side of Kanto.

Travel the route

This route links Viridian City to the Victory Road approach. It is simple on paper, but its placement makes it feel heavier than a normal western route.

What matters here

Its importance comes from direction more than scenery. Route 22 points you at the League side of the map and gives western Kanto a very different mood from the southbound Pallet road.

Come back later

Return when you want the western Indigo approach, the last Gym follow-through, or the Viridian side of late Kanto cleanup.
